Capital Sports Campus

Capital Sports Campus

Located in suburban Ottawa, an old abandoned campus sits unused. Built in the 1960s, it was once a religious campus, filled with students, nuns, and teachers. The campus was then sold off to the Federal Government, who transformed the site into a training facility for government employees in various sectors. In 2010 the Federal Government stopped using the site and since then the campus have been left in a state of decay.

In this conservation project the aim is to adaptively reuse the campus, and attempt to preserve the character defining elements of the site, whilst adding new additions which will help enrich, and ultimately create a new program for the site which helps benefit the community.
